UPDATE: Deadline for the poster submissions has been extended to May 7th, 2024
Student researchers (including under-graduate students) or anyone else interested in gaining experience in presenting their work to a wider audience are highly encouraged to submit to this non-archival posters track.
Poster submissions will provide an opportunity to showcase already published research or preliminary-results, innovative and provocative ideas, early-stages of research, new concepts or methodologies etc. Submissions in this category will allow presenters to share their latest results or get feedback on projects which may not otherwise be ready/appropriate for the Full Papers, Journal Track or Short Papers. Posters are likely to have a more focused and concise research contribution to the field. For example, a submission on a novel system may not cover the entire system design but rather go into depth of a specific topic (e.g., how the system was evaluated with real users or how the formative work to create the system was conducted).
Posters are invited on topics of interest to the COMPASS 2024 community, focussing on applications of computing for sustainability or social development. The key submission topics include:
- Systems and IoT for Sustainable Societies
- HCI, Design and Critical Perspectives
- AI, ML and Data Science for Sustainable Societies
- Development, Economics and Policy
- Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change
- Technology, Media, and Social Practice
Accepted poster submissions are non-archival, i.e. they will not appear in the proceedings of COMPASS. The authors can resubmit the paper after refining to another version of COMPASS or any other venue.
