UPDATE: Deadline for the doctoral consortium submissions has been extended to March 31st, 2024
The COMPASS 2024 Doctoral Consortium (DC) provides a platform for doctoral and predoctoral students (including senior Bachelor’s and Master’s students) to present and discuss their research, exchange ideas, and receive constructive feedback from experienced mentors and peers. The DC will take place in-person in Delhi on July 8, 2024.
If you would like to participate, please submit, using the Google Form brief information which outlines:
- Whether you are an aspiring or current PhD student, and what stage you are currently at
- Your research topic and research methods
- Your hopes for this Consortium
- The main questions you would like to address in this Consortium.

Important dates
Submission (using Google Form): March 21st, 2024 March 31st, 2024
Decision about acceptance to workshop: 15th April 2024
Participants to confirm they will attend: 10th May 2024
DC: 8th July 2024
Submission instructions
- Up to 4-page research statement (plus 1 page for references). See formatting details below. Shorter submissions are welcome.
- A two-page curriculum vitae (CV)
- A short letter of support from their advisor addressing how the DC would be beneficial to their career, and confirming that the student can attend.
Limited funding is available for accepted participants, please indicate if you need support while submitting the application. We also encourage applying to the Gary Marsden Travel Awards for funding support: https://sigchi.org/resources/gary-marsden-travel-awards/.

Please format submissions using single column format, 10 pt text, and 1.15 spacing. You are encouraged to use the following templates:
